Farm is a project space + gallery. Founded in 2005 in Portland, Oregon by Christine Gallagher + Susie Nielsen,
farm continues to grow and evolve. Now located in Wellfleet. farm features contemporary art + design. Farm
is also a graphic design studio. We believe in collaboration. Our farmers are artists, designers, curators and
educators. Farm exhibits solo 2-d and 3 -d work from contemporary artists worldwide. Our front room houses
work from various artists in farm’s past, present, and future. Please stop by and see us.
FARMproject is a process focussed collaboration of artists working together to promote change.
Susie Nielsen is the owner/director of farm gallery and project space. Nielsen also does all the graphic design
for farm and commercial and personal projects. She is an artist, designer, educator and curator. Nielsen holds
an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design and a BS in Communications from Northeastern University. In all
of Nielsen’s projects she focuses on the importance of a holistic process to achieve the finished project.
Sky Freyss-Cole is a facilitator and process consultant based in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. She studied at the
Global College of Long Island University and continued on to graduate from the KaosPilots International School
of Project, Process and Business Design in Denmark. Sky lived and worked around the world in North and Latin
America, Europe, Africa and Asia before returning to live full-time in her community on Cape Cod. By using
reflection, dialog and participatory leadership tools in her work, she leads individuals, organizations and
communities through processes of change and development. Sky has recently facilitated community visioning
projects for all elementary schools in Massachusetts' Nauset Regional School District and she is working for
Swedish Digital Media School, Hyper Island, facilitating intensive educational programs for creative industry
professionals.
Lee Wotherspoon grew up in Wellfleet and considers herself fortunate to be a product of the physical
environment and the artistic family and community who raised her there. After many years away studying,
travellinginternationally and pursuing her career in Boston, she returned to make Wellfleet home for her
beautiful family. At the heart of this decision is a belief that the type of community she experienced as a
child can be created again for her children. Lee holds a BS in Biology and a Master of Public Health in Social
and Behavioral Sciences. She works to promote systems-level change in the healthcare setting. She centers
herself by practicing andteaching yoga.
Jennifer Subrin Witnauer is writer, performer and educator. She received her BS from University of Vermont.
She completed course work in sketch and improvisational comedy to the highest level at the Upright Citizens Brigade
Theater in NYC. Jennifer started her pursuit of educating young people in the arts with the Vermont Farm Youth Corps,
a program that encourages the farming tradition to stay within families for generations. She has taught actor's workshops,
playwriting, improv & sketch comedy on both coasts, including the Northwest Children's Theater & School, and the
Cambridge Performance Project. Recently, Jennifer has introduced the Harold form of Improvisational comedy through
classes to adults & children at Wellfleet's Preservation Hall.
